Meet the Makers

A little about what we do.

Our hope for the future is this: To do what we have always done since we met in Nashville at age 7, to explore and discover. Then to use those discoveries to reinvent and bring beautiful things into existence. We hope to grow to the point that we are prolific in our release of art and product. We both have children and want to cater much of our business to enriching their youth and helping them explore the world as we have. We will be creating many children’s books and products in the future. We also want to support the roles of father’s and men. We have created Harvest Beard Co. to remind men who they are and to have dignity and stewardship in being a man and to their families and to the environment.

Riding on Clouds

Riding on Clouds

Posted in Smith & Cox Co

Visiting Glacier National Park in the cool fall has its rewards. The peaks are cold enough for snow, but the trees below are warm with yellow. We were lucky to experience the mix of cold with a warm sun sputtering through the clouds above. The suns heat from the escaping rays would warm the trapped […]

The Hammock

The Hammock

Posted in Smith & Cox Co

You’d think that a view like this one could be enjoyed for hours, but this picture is deceiving. If you’ve been to the Going-on-the-Sun road you’d know its a dangerous cliff slope on one side. There are no serene parcels to wander and string up hammocks. We rigged this cliff side picture with much apprehension. […]

Harvest Beard Care

A true Harvest Beard is seasonal, but of course you choose the season terms (ex. Daily, Weekly, Movember, Winter Beard, etc). As your beard starts off, be sure to note the hairs growth direction and get a sense of the beard lines you’ll want to maintain. This will help when we talk about shaving the […]

Starting at an X, trace through every possible path as a single movement until returning to the same starting point. You may cross over a path at an intersection […]

I want to re-share his early post regarding the moustache. ============================================================= as i regrow the obligatory winter stache, i am reminded that moustaches are like snowflakes–no two are exactly alike. the other glorious […]
